Canon PIXMA TS6220 Series Reviews Printers– The Canon TS6220 is an inkjet printer designed for family use. It prints very well, which isn’t a surprise that it is backed by five inks. It’s also fast for its class. Like most family-oriented consumer-class photographs, AIOs, high-cost running, and not having an automatic document feeder (ADF) for copying and scanning multipage documents, degrades into the printing and copying environments with low volumes. Nevertheless, if all you need is a hundred or more prints and copies every month, and the quality of output is important to you, TS6220 is a solid and affordable option.TS6220 is identical in size and thickness (and appearance) to its predecessor, TS6120, but smaller and lighter than some competing models, especially Epson XP-7100 and Small brother-Office oriented MFC-J895DW. The price is near the HP Envy Photo 7155 is, on the other hand, just a little bigger and more Hefner from PIXMA TS6220.
The main reason for Epson and Brother models ‘ increase in size and thickness is that both come with ADFs, while, as mentioned, the TS6220 and Envy 7155 does not. If you think you should copy or scan a MultiPage document or a relatively large stack of originals, the lack of ADF is, in terms of productivity and convenience, it matters. To get the ADF from the TS series, you have to step into the Wide-TS9520 format, or you can go with one of Canon’s more business-oriented TR-Series Pixmas series, such as the PIXMA TR8520 editors ‘ choice.
As for the handling of paper, TS6220 holds up to 200 sheets divided between the 100-sheet tray on the front and 100-sheet tray pulling from behind, as shown below. The rear tray can also accommodate up to 20 pieces of Premium photo paper.
As with most other Pixmas nowadays, TS6220 also supports the Instagram square image paper size, in this case, 3.5 by 3.5, 4 by 4, and 5 by 5 inches. None of the non-Pixmas here, or any other non-PIXMA model I know, supports the Instagram box format.
TS6220 Connectivity and software
While most Pixmas doesn’t support Wi-Fi Direct and NFC peer-to-peer networking options, TS6220 and its siblings won’t leave you wanting a connectivity option, especially for mobile devices. The standard interface is Wi-Fi and connects to a single PC via USB, and you get a PictBridge (wireless LAN) to print directly from multiple Canon cameras.
Other mobile options are abundant, including Apple AirPrint, Google Cloud Print, and Mopria, as well as some of Canon’s mobile connectivity features, such as PIXMA Cloud Print, Canon Print App, and Creative Park Premium, which are a collection of online templates (calendar, Greeting cards, and so on). You also get Canon’s print message features to include hidden messages and links in printed photos, so others can then reveal by scanning images with their smartphone or tablet camera.
In addition to killing Windows and Mac software, TS6220 comes with iOS and Android versions of Easy-PhotoPrint editor and Message in App Print. The latter is a software that lets your friends and family find your hidden messages with their mobile device cameras, and the first is an app to make basic edits and print your photos.
You also get the Windows and MAC versions of the scan Utility, Easy-PhotoPrint editor, Master Setup, Network tool, and Quick Menu. There are also scan Utility Lite for MAC and My printer for Windows. The Master setup, My printer, and Network tool allow you to make configuration changes to the printer itself and how accessing your network, and Quick Menu, shown below, is a set of moving icons that are usually located in The lower right corner of your monitor and provides easy access to features such as scanning, printing, copying and so on
