Canon Pixma G3660 Driver Download & Printer Review– The Canon Pixma G3660 is a traditional example of an inkjet multifunction peripheral (MFP) designed for home use. A squat intelligent search tool made from exceptional black plastic. It’s also quite unique: you can print, try and duplicate, print with robots on both sides of a sheet of paper (duplex printing), and be part of and share with the Wi-Fi community. Not bad for a £ 50 multifunction printer.

The slightest regret is that a fax modem is not included, but it makes sense that Canon has included a guide to optional modern cloud-based printing services. The Pixma G3660 can be configured to print from cloud-based services that include Google Drive, but that thought is no longer as accurate as it should be – the machine is much more complex than products from competing manufacturers, as well as HP.

A mid-sized car, Pixma is powered by Canon’s fancy 5-ink processor that blends dye-based black, cyan, magenta and yellow inks with a large black pigment reservoir for high-volume printing. While this is a really cool factor, we are sad that the G3660 is full of a cumbersome manipulation system. Instead of touch input, its menus are controlled by a 4-way rocker switch paired with three dedicated buttons at the bottom of the screen – we have long criticized this setting, which can be inconsistent and confusing.

The G3660 inherits all the other functions given to us, which were previously criticized. The ink cartridges can be accessed by lifting the console control panel, but access is in a stack held behind each slot. Also, even though the slots are strictly labeled, strictly dye-based, it is possible to physically place cartridges in the wrong slot for miles – we’re not sure why it doesn’t switch to avoid this. The printer’s paper trays have an unusual layout that prevents published pages from sliding out of the input tray — it looks simple, but a neat layout keeps everything neat.

Print, Scan, and Copy performance

Fortunately, these cute little grumblers couldn’t ruin any ideal mid-range home MFP. While not always accurate, it brought the preferred text content of exceptional quality to 11.5 pages per minute (ppm) and ran our comprehensive color test at 3.6 ppm, which is excellent at the cost. The scanner changed quickly enough at low resolution, 300 dpi to fit A4, definitely 19 seconds wanting to take a look, but even with a USB connection, it took us 103 seconds to get a postcard-sized photo. At 1200 dpi, it took just thirteen seconds to make a black A4 copy of a web page, but in color, it increased to 30 seconds.

Undoubtedly, the advantage of this MFP is that its results are extremely pleasant in all respects. The text and images printed on paper were undeniably convincing and crisp, but the image prints were as accurate as you can get with mid-range inkjet – grain-free and impressively sharp. Photocopies, scanned images have been transformed into authentic ones with the addition of sharp, accurate tints and extreme dynamic variety. Current prices are just a few important aspects of Canon’s inexpensive compact multifunctional device.
